.Often on the way you will also view Dolphins, the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, and in the winter months, the famous Humpback Whales. All this, and a breathtaking view on Oahu's North Shore are part of the tour. Bring an underwater camera to get some of the best photographs of Hawaiian Sharks possible anywhere. The size of the sharks range from 5 to 15 feet. These sharks will be only inches away from the cage, providing a most thrilling experience for you to view and photograph these great creatures from the safety of the metal cage. Late this afternoon, we will all reconvene together to enjoy a fabulous sunset cruise. We will be picked up at our hotel and taken aboard a scenic cruise that takes us from Waikiki beach to enjoy the scintillating sunset at sea.
Enjoy an OPEN BAR to welcome in the night as the party continues on the cruise back to Waikiki beach and the Sheraton Hotel. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. If you wish, join us for an optional dinner outing to Duke’s. Duke’s offers outdoor patio seating with ocean views under tiki torch lights. They even have an outdoor Jacuzzi on the patio for those wishing to take a dip before or after their meal. Monday March 5th - This morning is at leisure to relax. A late morning transfer will bring us to the airport as a group for a mid day flight to the Big island. . Upon arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel, Hilo Castle Hawaiian Hotel.
Castle Hilo Hawaiian amenities include a pool, sundeck, health club, and on-site health spa where massage, body, and facial treatments are offered.

This afternoon we will all enjoy an included excursion for some incredible sightseeing. Menu: Lunch is a choice of 1) Curried Turkey and Macadamia Nut Sandwich on Sourdough Roll (Roasted Turkey, Cranberries, Macadamia Nuts, Celery, Mayonnaise, Curry Seasonings, Romaine) 2) Fresh Fish Salad Sandwich on Sourdough Roll (Seasonally available fresh Fish salad: (Ono, Mahi-mahi, Ahi Tuna) Capers, seasonings, Mayonnaise, Romaine) 3) Deli Style Turkey on Sourdough Roll (Sliced Deli Turkey, Cheese, fresh Tomato, fresh Romaine, Mustard, Mayonnaise, Vegenaise available on the side) 4) Vegetable Sandwich on Sourdough Roll (Roasted Eggplant, Zucchini, Summer Squash, Sweet Maui Onions, fresh Tomatoes, Kalamata Olive Tapenade, seasonings). All of the sandwiches may substitute gluten free sliced bread. Bread rolls made in-house by short n sweet. (Un-bleached, unbromated bread flour, sourdough yeast starter, water, salt). At the end of our excursion we will be brought back to our hotel. Wed. March 7th Upon arrival we will be picked up and taken on a full day guided excursion to see the lush rain forest lands of Maui with several flowing waterfalls in which you will have the chance to take a swim in emerald pools. We will ride to one of the most popular valleys on Maui's famous Hana Highway, traversing a short segment of its famed Road to Hana, a valley unique for having several waterfalls within a short distance of each other. We will then hike 2.5miles round trip on an easy to moderate trail through a mix of pasture, rainforest, bamboo and fruit trees. Follow two streams to several waterfalls from 10-feet to 40-feet high. Swim in large pools underneath any of the waterfalls. If you wish, you can swing like Tarzan from a rope into one of the pools or for the really adventurous you can enjoy a small cliff jump into one of the pools.
At the end of our tour, we will be taken to our hotel on Kaanapali Beach, the Westin Maui Resort and Spa . The resort is just steps from the quaint shops and great dining of Whaler’s village along a scenic oceanfront boardwalk. Enjoy an 87,000 square-foot pool area overlooking the Pacific Ocean featuring five swimming pools, two water slides, a swim-through grotto with twin waterfalls and a hidden whirlpool. Among the pool area you notice exotic wildlife and art collections. For magnificent sunset views and oceanfront dining, stop by the Westin’s signature restaurant, Tropica Restaurant & Bar. Just off the beach walk, guests dine amidst flickering tiki torches, soft tumbling waterfalls, spectacular sunsets and views of the neighboring islands and the dazzling Pacific Ocean. Savoring selections include the Pacific Bouillabaisse with lobster from Kona; Seared Diver Scallops with braised fennel puree, big island tomato, arugula and fingerling potato, Golden Potato Gnocchi with meyer lemon cream, parsley and pistachio; and Oriental Mushroom Linguini with grilled tiger shrimp
Thursday March 8th. Our excursion picks us up right off the beach at the Sheraton, giving you a relaxing morning to enjoy the pool and the hotel grounds. The snorkeling is some of the best on the island
On the sail back to the hotel, enjoy an Open bar that includes beer, wine, vodka, gin, rum, and a buffet lunch that also includes BBQ chicken, fresh Mahi Mahi for those fish lovers, vegetarian fried rice, fresh backed rolls and desserts. The ride back also take us through an area where you'll most likely see whales, LOTS of fish and turtles as well. The boat even has its own waterslide it holds about 49 people The catamaran has many places to relax while on board, including a shaded cabin area if you wish to relax and stay out of the sun, as well as ample outdoor areas for lounging in the sun if you prefer.
Tonight, we will walk next door to the Hyatt for an included Luau which will bring you into the truest feeling of a real Polynesian feast with staging, choreography, song, dance and costumes that are magnificent.
Situated at the resort’s Aloha Pavilion, the lush tropical greenery with the soothing sounds of waterfalls and a breathtaking sunset form the perfect backdrop for an evening of entertainment complemented by a delicious Hawaiian meal in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Bart Umidi and his team of highly experienced chefs have created a four course dinner that will be presented family style, just like in the olden days. There will be a free flow of unlimited drinks and cocktails such as Mai Tai, Blue Hawaiian, the signature Westin Sunset, red and white wines, beers, including Tahitian beer, sodas, and fruit juices. Additionally, there will be crafters with interactive arts and culture for guests to participate and enjoy learning more about the Polynesian way of life. From coconut husking to coconut frond weaving, poi ball demonstration and learning to tie a pareo (sarong), you will find yourselves transported to a magical moment in paradise. The show itself boasts A SPECTACULAR FIRE KNIFE DANCING FINALE THAT WILL AMAZE YOU ! Catch spell-binding Fiji and Maori performances with the choreography and dance moves carefully supervised by Fiji and Maori chiefs. Friday March 9th The morning is free to relax at the hotel and enjoy its many pools, Jacuzzis and sunbathing opportunities. This afternoon, we will enjoy one of Maui’s most thrilling excursions - the Ka’anapali Zipline Experience.
Saturday March 10th. The day is at leisure to relax and enjoy a day on the beach or along the fabulous pools, Jacuzzis and waterfalls at our resort. At the end of the day we will enjoy a fabulous whale watching excursion and dinner under the setting sun over the ocean. Many Optional activities are available for those wishing to get out and enjoy the active life today. For the active minded, sign up for our optional Bicycle ride down Haleakala Crater. The ride is one for the most famous activities on Maui. Featuring a chance to watch an incredible sunrise at the top of the World’s Largest Dormant Volcano, then enjoy a leisurely, all downhill cycle down the coast to the sea level town at its base. The ride is accompanied by expert guidance with frequent stops for photo opps. A continental breakfast of muffins and juice is served at the bicycle operator’s headquarters just before heading up the mountain. When we reach the top, the view of the sunrise over the volcanic crater on a clear day is mesmerizing. Once the sun has arisen, we will begin the decent in our van to the starting point of the bicycle ride, a few miles from the peak. We will then follow the bicycle guide on a leisurely ride downhill to the base. Passengers can stop at any point and rejoin the van that travels behind the bicycle caravan the entire way down to the base. It is truly an exhilarating experience for those that participate.
Mid afternoon, we will all enjoy an included whale watching excursion which begins right behind our hotel and takes us out into the ocean to watch these amazing creatures, many of which will come right up close to the boat, giving us amazing photo opps. Starting for the beach just behind our hotel, we will meet our luxury catamaran for a 2 hour sailing cruise. Expert naturalists will guide us on our cruise where we will view the many enormous whales that inhabit the waters around Maui. March is peak season for whale watching and we will most certainly witness many of the giant creatures in the natural habitat. Our cruise vessel capacity is just 40 people so our group will not be craning necks to see over a hundred strangers for the best views of the whales. Our whale watch also includes a great dinner and an OPEN BAR (Assorted Crackers and Cheese prior to the meal, Caesar Salad that's tossed on board and not prior to the sail, Baked Chicken Breast in Alfredo Sauce, Baked Penne Pasta, Grilled Ono in Basil Garlic Pesto, Foccacia Bread, and Dessert of Banana & Coconut layered Cake & Chocolate Cake.
