TRIP
ITINERARY:
September 29, 2012
We will depart from LOS ANGELES (LAX airport) today on Eva
Airlines at 1:55am for our flight to Bali, via one flight connection in Taiwan.
(arrive Taipei at 6:15 am and depart at 10:10am for our nonstop flight to Bali)
September 30th
– We will arrive in Bali at 3:15 in the afternoon
Upon arrival in the
early afternoon, we will be met and escorted through the customs and visa
clearance (Local visa is included in our tour package and provided to all
passengers).
After claiming bags we will be
transferred to our hotel, - the 4 star
Pertiwi Resort, located in the heart of the famed Ubud shopping and nightlife
district.
The hotel’s central
but quiet location is ideal. It’s set
in a tropical landscape with two swimming pools and proximity to both the
Monkey forest and Ubud’s King Palace, just steps away from many tourist
activities.
The popular Ubud
shops are right on the main road in front of the resort a few minute walk away,
as are the museums.
A Unique experience right here at Pertiwi Resorts and Spa ! Nestled
in a tropical corner of the vast compound, the Tropical Spa comprises four
individual pavilions.
A Special range of programs that incorporate traditional massages aromatherapy

MAIN POOL
The remainder of the
day is at leisure to relax and explore the Ubud area at leisure.
October 1st, 2012
- This morning is at leisure to relax or explore the shops of Ubud.
This afternoon we will
be picked up by private transport and taken to enjoy a Half day tour of the Mengawi temple, The Monkey Forest and a
Tanah Lot Temple for a chance to witness an incredible sunset.
On this tour you will take a journey into the countryside by coach and make
a stop to take a short walk (approx. 300 meters) through Scenic Terraced Rice Paddies,
cultivated in unique Balinese style, surrounded by coconut trees and tropical
horticultural plants including sweet potatoes and tapioca. At the end of your
stroll, relax in a Balinese pavilion and sample traditional Indonesian fried tapioca
and sweet potato together with mineral water, tea or coffee.
After leaving the village of Gulingan, you will drive along to the Royal Temple
of Mengwi - Pura Taman Ayun. Dating from 1634, this picturesque complex
surrounded by a moat with multi-roofed meru shrines and intricately carved
wooden gates.
You will then proceed to the sacred Monkey
Forest, a cluster of towering trees which is home to hundreds of monkeys.
Ooh! ooh! eeh! eeh! The forest offers walking trails to explore the
monkeys’ natural habitat, where you can watch them swinging from the tree
limbs.

The last stop on the tour is Tanah Lot, famous in Bali as the
Sunset Temple. Experience
the sunset beyond the black lava towers of the sacred 16th century temple,
built on a lava rock 200 meters off shore.
Tanah Lot means "Land in the Middle of the sea" in Balinese language. The temple sits on a
huge offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the
ocean tide.
At sunset it is really a beautiful place with the surf rolling in.

October 2nd, 2012 -
Today we will enjoy a unique tour as we
venture out on a half day elephant safari followed by a half day rafting
excursion.
We will be picked up by private transport and taken for our full day tour.
Get up close and personal with these incredible animals at the
inspiring Elephant Safari Park. Watch them take their daily bath, enjoy a hand
feeding session and experience an elephant trek through the beautiful tropical
park.
Acclaimed as the world’s best elephant park, the Elephant Safari park is
located near the historic village of Taro in central Bali and is home to Bali’s
largest herd of 27 rescued Sumatran Elephants. The Park meets international
standards for animal care and is set in more than 2 hectares of exotic eco-tourism
landscaped botanical gardens, surrounded by dense forest. Here you can watch
these amazing creatures taking their daily bath and demonstrating remarkable
feats of strength and skill. We will also enjoy a memorable ride aboard
these magnificent creatures through the tranquil forested areas and you will
also have the chance to feed the elephants and learn more about their plight.

our hotel in Ubud to enjoy the hopping nightlife and great dining options, just

October 3rd, 2012
This morning, we will check out of our hotel and we will be
picked up and taken by private transport for a thrilling zip line tree top excursion. We will be taken to the Bali Treetop
Adventure Park where we will enjoy an exciting adventure whereby we are placed
in a safety harness and attached to a cable that effortlessly glides us across
the cable from one tree top platform to another.
After our zip line excursion, we will enjoy an included
lunch along scenic Lake Bratan, followed by a visit to the park’s beautiful Bedugul Botanical Gardens and the
impressive Ulun Danu Bratan Temple.
Our tour includes 2 bottles mineral water, lunch at local
restaurant, Treetop package including 2 to 3 hours access to all seven levels

This afternoon, at the end of our tour, we will be

For those with a sense of adventure
and a love of the outdoors, join us for a thrilling and most unique optional
excursion. The sunrise guided hike of Mount Batur, the highest mountain on the
island is an amazing experience for any active minded outdoors lover. The walk is challenging at times, but
suitable for anyone in good health and is well worth it, as the views from the
top are magnificent.
For those who want to do something unique and be rewarded with spectacular
views after an energetic hike, this event is Absolutely fantastic. The scenes from the top are really breathtaking, as you can
see the nearby volcano of Abang and the other one on Lombok called
Rinjani. The sunrise over the shimmering lake below also leaves a lasting
impression.
Breakfast at the mountain top is offered as is lunch along a scenic lakefront
after returning to the base.
A stop at a
natural hot springs on our return to the resort provides a chance to relax and

Tonight we will all enjoy the Bali Hai
Sunset Dinner Cruise
There's no better way to relax and enjoy a balmy
tropical evening than on Bali Hai's Sunset Dinner Cruise. As the sun slowly
sets, we will board our catamaran cruiser and enjoy a selection of canapé
appetizers as we wait for the vessel to depart.
We will gently cruise around the harbor, enjoying a wonderful
international buffet dinner on board. We
will be entertained by Batak singers on the main deck, or for those who prefer
some quiet background music, you may like to sit on the bridge deck and relax
or perhaps take in the cool night air on the top deck. After dinner, a colorful
cabaret show begins on the main deck and is followed with DJ music for dancing
that continues through until the end of the cruise.

Today we will be picked up mid day and transferred to the
airport for our 4pm flight home on Eva Airlines. We will make a connection in Taiwan for 2
hours and then fly nonstop overnight from Taiwan to LAX, arriving at 8:50pm
on Oct. 8th (due to the
time change, the flying time appears longer than it actually is, but 8:50pm is
the arrival time in LAX, allowing passengers an easy connection in LAX to many
overnight flights from LAX to most East coast cities.

– Today we will enjoy a Full day Taipei city tour that will include a visit to
the National Palace Museum, Martyr's Shrine, CKS Memorial Hall, Lungshan
Temple, Taipei 101 Building and Observatory and the Raohe night market.
Located in Wanhua Disctrict, Taipei County,
Longshan Temple is one of the most famous
worshipped temples in Taiwan. The Taipei Longshan Temple is settled north
facing south, worships Guanshiyin Budda and other divine spirits. The temple
was first built during Ching Dynasty, and undergone several renovations due to
damages caused by men. Longshan Temple is now recognized as being one of the
four must-see attractions in Taipei. The three
other must-see attractions include Taipei 101, National Palace Museum and Chiang-Kai Shek
Memorial Hall.

Located near the Grand Hotel in Taipei City, the Martyr’s Shrine was built to commemorate
soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country during the War of
Resistance against Japan and Civil War between Nationalist Government and the
Communist Party. The Martyr’s Shrine was
built in 1969, with the main architecture designed similar to Taihe Dian
Imperial Palace in Beijing. The grand design symbolizes the braveness and
selfless spirits of the martyrs. Covering a large area, with mountains nearby
and facing Keelung River, the Martyr’s Shrine is a
significant attraction noting the history and culture of Taiwan.

Taipei 101 is a
101 story skyscraper was once the tallest tower in the world (from 2004-2010).
For refined cuisines and
views, visitors may enjoy fine services and cuisines at the restaurants located
from the eighty-sixth to the eighty-eighth floor. For great views of entire
Taipei City, an indoor viewing area is accessible on the eighty-ninth floor,
and an outdoor viewing area is on the ninety-first floor.
Taipei 101 comprises 101 floors above ground and 5 floors
underground. The building was architecturally created as a symbol of the
evolution of technology and Asian tradition.
Its postmodernist approach
to style incorporates traditional design elements and gives them modern
treatments. The tower is designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes. A multi-level shopping
mall adjoining the tower houses hundreds of fashionable stores, restaurants and

Located in Shilin District
of Taipei City, one of the must-see attractions in Taiwan is the National Palace Museum. The well-known National Palace Museum was first established in
1925 and re-established in 1965. The museum exhibits the most precious and
important historical documentations, paintings, arts, and crafts reflecting the
rich cultural heritage and civilization of the ancient Chinese. Treasures
include ancient Chinese paintings, ceramics, jade sculptures, remains of bronze
weapons and many other antiques. The wide priceless collection of the crafts
covers five thousand years of Chinese history. Among six hundred and fifty-five
thousand pieces of treasures, the first collections of old Chinese gems are
from the Song Dynasty.
Located at the heart of
Taipei City, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial
Hall (National Taiwan Democracy
Memorial Hall) was built to commemorate the former Taiwan President Chiang
Kai-Shek. Established in 1980, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall has a total area of two hundred and fifty thousand square
meters. Occupying a large area, the memorial hall is covered with the colors of
Taiwanese flag: blue, white, and red. The colors of the flag symbolize
independence, equality, and universal love. Since 2007, it has been noted as a
national historical site of Taiwan. Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall is now an important landmark of Taipei that attracts large
populations of visitors every year.
After our full day tour, we will return to our hotel for an
evening at leisure or for those wishing an evening of fun, join us for a pub crawl of local pubs, offering a local
Asian flavor unique to Taipei.
October 9th
– Today is a free day to explore at your leisure. Mid afternoon we will be picked up at our
hotel and transferred to the airport for our 6:40pm flight back to LAX
arriving, with the time change, at 3:35pm the same day.
